Obituary of Mary Hawks Scott

Mary Astor Hawks Scott, died Friday, August 24, 2012 in Madison. Mary was born in Surry County on June 27, 1929 to Harmon Arthur and Lannie Gertrude Lowe Hawks. She was a member of Sheldon Road Baptist Church. Mary's funeral service will be at Midway Baptist Church in Jamestown at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 27 with Reverend Ricky Chandler and Reverend Charles Mustian officiating. The interment will follow the service in the church's cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry B. Scott and her son, Joel Dean Scott. She is survived by her children, Elaine Haithcock, Phyllis Harris (Glenn), Debbie Brown, Sandy Littreal (Clark), Tammy Hall (Lenny), Wayne Scott, Tommy Scott (Judy), Ronnie Scott (Wanda), Gary Scott (Frances), Timmy Scott; 45 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Lowe, Joyce Loftis, and brother, A.
