Obituary of James Overby

Mr. James Shelton Overby, 65, of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Moses Cone Hospital. A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Monday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Pastor Larry Pope officiating. Mr. Overby was born in Guilford County on July 16, 1946 to Otis Clyde Overby and Mozelle Shelton Overby. He worked for Guilford Mills for approximately 26 years, later with Quest Diagnostics as a courier for the medical profession. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Overby is survived by his wife, Martha Lynch Overby; sons, Michael Overby and wife Ashley and Zachary Overby; sisters, Monnett Durham and husband Matt, Rita Lederer and husband James; brother, John Overby and wife Carol; sister-in-law Cathy Hasty and husband Dwight; grandchildren, Yuri and Jace McKinnon and Leon Overby. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, 2204 W. Cone Blvd., Greensboro, NC.
