Obituary of Josephine Wicker

Mrs. Josephine Q. Wicker, 88, of Greensboro, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Hospice Home of Alamance and Caswell County. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home with the Reverend Don Clement officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. Mrs. Wicker was born October 12, 1923 in Rockingham, NC. She was a member of New Bessemer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wicker Sr. Mrs. Wicker is survived by her daughter, Judy (Sherrill) Shotwell; sons, Sam (Dianne) Ammons and John Wicker Jr.; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Brad) Hicks, Julie (Gary) Cothren, Jeff Wicker, Daniel Wicker, Sammy Ammons Jr., Christy (Jason) Umfleet; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shelby Aldridge, Lucille Ammons, and Betty Quick; special friends, Marie Edwards, Paula Kirkman, and Christy Blackburn. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm Sunday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
