Obituary of Dorothy Peterson

Kernersville-Dot Peterson, 85, surrounded by her loving sons, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was born September 27, 1927 to the late Jesse & Vida Pegram. In addition to her parents, Dot was also preceded in death by her husbands, James Wood and George Peterson, son Jeffrey Wood,Sr.,grandchildren Shelly and Ja Dean Wood, and sisters Margie Marshall and Mildred Efird. She is survived by her sons Ray Wood and Loretta of Indiana, Pennsylvania, Jay Wood, Jr. and Lorraine of New Port, Washington, Roger Wood and Mary of Fairfax, Virginia, Lawrence Wood and Margie of Creekside, Pennsylvania; special daughter-in-law, Vickie Wood Price of Kernersville, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several family members and close friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday June 8th in Belews Creek Christian Church, officiated by Rev. Larry Neal and Dr. Bobby Roberson. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
