Obituary of Beulah Rich

Kernersville - Beulah "Jackie" W. Rich, 86, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 14, 2013. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at Pisgah United Methodist Church in Kernersville on Thursday January 17, 2013 at 2:00PM. The service will be officiated by Rev. Harry Sammons and Rev. Hagan McClellan. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. Jackie was a retired LPN from Forsyth Medical Center. She was also a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church, where she served as a PPRC Chairman and former Chairman of the Crusade Circle. Jackie was also the former Treasurer of United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Robah Whitaker and Carrie Walker Whitaker, her daughter, Deborah K. Barreau, and brother, Jay R. Whitaker. Survivors include her son, Richard L. Barreau and wife Debbie of Colfax, North Carolina; grandchildren, Rick Barreau of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Kristie Hodges of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; brothers, Don Whitaker and wife Norma of Walkertown, North Carolina, and Roy Whitaker and wife Shirley of Kernersville, North Carolina. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6PM - 8PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville. The family would like to give a special thank you to Nurse CeCe, as well as Dr. Skinner and all the staff in Palliative Care at Forsyth Medical Center for all the love and care shown to Mrs. Rich and her family during her illness.
