Obituary of Carolyn Thibodeaux

Biography Kernersville-Carolyn G. Thibodeaux, 78, died on December 2, 2012, which would have been her late husband's birthday. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Thursday December 6, 2012 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. Carolyn was a native of Gretna, Louisiana, and was married to the late Louis Xavier Thibodeaux, Sr. She was an Elementary School Teacher of over 30 years and retired in 1979. She moved to Kernersville, NC in 2005 following Hurricane Katrina to live with her niece Nancy and Mark Schell. She was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church and was also active with the Senior Adults at the church. She loved her family first and foremost, but also enjoyed traveling with her friends Callielee, Rachel, and Loretta. She will certainly be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Rhonda Cooper. Survivors include her loving children Louis Thibodeaux, Jr. and devoted daughter-in-law Elizabeth of Kernersville, Adam Thibodeaux, and Barbara Dallas and her husband Don all of Louisiana; five grandchildren Amy Garrett and her husband Kipp, Jason Thibodeaux and his wife Annie, Matt and his wife Bobbie Harrison, Chris Dallas and his wife Jennifer, and Josh Dallas and his wife Chrissy; seven great-grandchildren Paige, Lyla, Sadie, Korbin, Gabby, Andrew, and Jack; sisters Laverne Stevens and her husband Ernie of High Point, NC, and Doris Zeringue of Louisiana; and her brothers Wayne Green of California, and Danny Green of Louisiana. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
