Obituary of Donna Szymanski Harris

Kernersville-Donna Lynn Szymanski Harris, 45, peacefully went home to be with her Lord & Saviour on November 23, 2012. She was surrounded by family at Forsyth Medical Center during her valiant battle with cancer. A Celebration service to remember and honor her life will be held 12:00PM Saturday December 1, 2012 at New Life Tabernacle in Kernersville, with Rev. Ronnie Ingle, Jr. officiating. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Ruby D. Szymanski and William "Bill" Szymanski. Donna was a graduate of Brookstone College, and was employed by Wake Forest University Health Sciences. Donna was a devoted, loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and aunt. She was a dedicated, faithful saint of New Life for 16 years. Everyone who met Donna, loved her, and knew she loved God. Donna was a friend to anyone she met. She is survived by her husband Stephen G. Harris of Kernersville; daughters Jennifer R. Willien and husband Brian of McLeansville and Kristen Cockerham and husband Dennis of Kernersville; son Daniel Donithan and wife Jessica of Kernersville; mother Ruby Szymanski of Archdale; father Bill Szymanski of Winston-Salem; grandchildren Keira and Khloe Cockerham, and Elijah Willien; brothers, Steven Szymanski of Cary; Christopher Szymanski and wife Debbie of Stanley; sister Phyllis Szymanski and Mark Brown of Trinity. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening November 30 at New Life Tabernacle from 6-8pm. May she rest in peace and know that we will miss her smile, and contagious laugh deeply and remember her every day.
