Obituary of John Brown

Belews Creek-John Wade Brown, 53, went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2012. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00PM Thursday at the Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel in Kernersville. A native of Pensacola, Florida, he was the son of the late James Alton Brown and Etta Mae Lambeth Brown who survives. He served his country with the US Army and later worked in construction for a number of years. In addition to his father he also was preceded in death by his brother James Alton Brown, Jr.. He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown. Survivors include his wife Tammy W. Brown of the home; daughters Candace Rorrer and Jared of Pensacola, FL, Alicia Brown of Winston-Salem, and Christine Brown of Belews Creek; sons Jared Brown of Davidson County, and Austin Brown of Belews Creek; step-daughter Erica Hudson of Madison; mother Etta Brown of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren; sisters Mary Jordan and Darletta Coleman and Otis all of Pensacola, FL, and Sue Dixon and Dave of Belews Creek; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Wednesday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville.
