Obituary of Bobby Perdue

Kernersville-Bobby Eugene Perdue, 77, was called home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2012. Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held 7:00PM Saturday June 23, 2012 at Kernersville Friends Meeting with Pastor Dr. Jerry Gibbons officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00PM Monday at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A lifelong resident of Forsyth County, Bobby was the son of the late Hallie Levera Bull and Clay Perdue. He was a member of Kernersville Friends Meeting. He was married to the late Josephine Lambert Perdue. In addition to his parents and wife, he also was preceded in death by his sister Peggy Stuart and brothers Herbert Perdue, Donald Perdue, sister-in-law Maxine Perdue, and brother-in-laws Perry Stuart and Joe Echols. Survivors include his sons Bobby Joe Perdue and Denise Rice of Kernersville, Jimmy Perdue and Marla of Walnut Cove, and Tracy Perdue of Stokesdale; daughter Ginger Newberry of Lewisville; sister Mildred “Snook” Echols of Kernersville; brother James “Flea” Perdue and Lois of Kernersville; and a number of special family children, cousins, and friends. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the Meeting on Saturday.
