Obituary of Alson Pegram

Kernersville- Alson Gray "Sid" Pegram, 73, went home to be with his Lord May 31, 2012. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Sunday June 3, 2012 at Kernersville Friends Meeting with Pastor Dr. Jerry Gibbons, Rev. David Keaton, and Rev. Huey Parrish officiating. Interment will be 11:00AM Monday in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Guilford County, Sid was the son of the late Emma Freeman and Frank Herd Pegram. Sid was a mechanic and had run his own business for the past 35 years. He was a member of Kernersville Friends Meeting and had a host of friends that will miss him dearly. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years Brenda Davis Pegram of the home; daughter Angela Tate and Michael of Belews Creek; son Randall Pegram and Mary of Kernersville; grandchildren Sidney Rose, Benjamin Axle, Zachary Gray, Katarina Helen; sisters Shirley Hardy and Aldean of Westfield, and Jannette King of Kernersville; brothers Roger Pegram and Marie of Kernersville, Ralph Pegram of Bethany, and Harry Pegram of Westfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family will visit with friends from 4-6pm Saturday at Kernersville Friends Meeting.
