Obituary of Pauline Shields

Belews Creek-Pauline Turner Shields, 71, went home to be with her Lord May 20, 2012. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Wednesday at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor R.J. McBride and Pastor Keith Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Victory Baptist Church cemetery in Belews Creek. A native of Stokes County, Pauline was the daughter of the late Nannie Elizabeth Brown and Henry Sylvester Turner. She was retired from Hooker Furniture in Kernersville. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Edward Shields. Survivors include her son Timothy Lee Cromer of the home; brother Paul Turner and Earlene of Patrick Springs, Virginia; sisters Louise Shelton and Billy of Lawsonville, and Geneva Cregger and Jr. of Walnut Cove; and her best friends and caretakers, Ann Dodson and Chris McBride. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville.
