Obituary of Cynthia Jefferson

Burlington-Cynthia Lynne Jefferson, 56, went home to be with her Lord Monday, March 26, 2012 following a long battle with Brain Cancer. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 4:00PM Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Deep Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Rev. James Moon and Rev. Ray Moon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Person County, “Cindy” was the daughter of Shirley Nell Webb Jefferson and James Douglas Jefferson who survive. She was a graduate of Walter Williams High School Class of ’73. She had worked for a number of years with Alamance Country Club and currently was employed with the former United Electric Company. She had been a member, a Sunday School Teacher, and pianist of Deep Creek Baptist Church for over 40 years. Survivors include her parents Shirley and James “Jeff” Jefferson of Burlington; sister Nina Terry Clayton of Burlington; brother Danny Lee Jefferson and Rosette of Kernersville; nephews Joshua Daniel and Jeremiah David Clayton both of Burlington, and Jonathan Lee Jefferson and Tarah of Kernersville; niece Nicole Michelle “Nikki” Jefferson Kohut and Dr. Steve Kohut of Bethlehem, PA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends from 6-8PM Tuesday evening at the church, or the home of her parents.
