Obituary of Susan Brown

Kernersville-Susan D. Brown, 67, died December 30, 2011 in Charlotte, where she had made her home for the past six years. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Monday January 2, 2012 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Trinity. A native of Bristol, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Pauline Steed Brown and David Clinton Brown. She had lived most of her life in Kernersville and friends may remember the days when she helped her father, David Brown, with his Men's Clothing store in Kernersville. She had been a member of both Cherry Street United Methodist Church and Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville. Survivors include her daughter Fran Kiser Owens and Doug of Kernersville; sister Becky Kiser of Charlotte; niece Michelle Kiser of Charlotte; nephew John Kiser and Becky of Charlotte; grandnieces Bailey and Olivia Kiser; and grandnephews L.J. and Gabriel Kiser. The family will visit with friends from 10:00AM until time for the service at the funeral home on Monday morning.
