Obituary of Frances Vandelia Motsinger Spach

Frances Motsinger Spach died April 18, 2016 at Piney Grove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Kernersville. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 2:00PM Thursday April 21, 2016 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Chapel. Frances was born in Forsyth County on June 15, 1921 to the late Dora Mae Jones Motsinger and Ira Louis Motsinger. She graduated from Sedge Garden School where one of the activities she enjoyed was playing basketball. She retired from Western Electric after over thirty years of service. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband Norman Franklin Spach; daughter Kay Spach Long; sisters Bernice Motsinger, Edna Motsinger Wooten, Linda Motsinger Harlan; brothers A.C. Motsinger, Willis Motsinger, Earl Motsinger, and Richard Motsinger. Survivors include daughters Barbara Spach Clodfelter and husband Weldon, Patty Spach Parrish and husband Norman; sister Nancy Motsinger Idol; brothers Carl Motsinger and Dr. Hillery Motsinger; grandchildren Ashley Thompson, Allison Murfee, Michele Parrish, Weldon Clodfelter, Jr., and Michael Lee Clodfelter and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church, 1510 Bunker Hill Sandy Ridge Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service on Thursday at Pierce-Jefferson.
