Obituary of Dan Harris

Kernersville-Dan Gerald Harris, 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at 4:00PM Monday, December 2, 2013 at First Christian Church with Rev. Dan Hipply officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille Scott and Dan Gordon Harris. Dan retired from the United States Navy after 10 years of service, was a long time volunteer with the Kernersville Raiders and Kernersville Little League. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Wanda Gaddis Harris of the home; son Dan Gregory and Misty of Kernersville; grandchildren Molly Katherine, Dan Garrison, Elliott Clara, and Harper Mae Harris all of Kernersville; sisters Frances Arwood of Somerville, TN, and Emily Bruce of Hinton, OK; brother Ricky Harris of Cedar Rapids, IA; uncle William Scott of Olive Branch, MS; and stepmother Wilma Harris of Grenada, MS. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service on Monday.
