Obituary of Thomas Houseknecht

Biography Kernersville-Thomas Scott Houseknecht, 56, died November 12, 2013. A Celebration Gathering honoring his life will be held from 4-6pm Sunday November 24, 2013 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Tom was born December 6, 1956, in Elmira, New York, to the late Clara Miller and Harry Houseknecht. Tom's nickname was "Wolf" and had made his residence in Grand Prairie, Texas for over 30 years. He had graduated from Southside High School in Elmira Class of '74. He was employed with Cardinal Health for the past 20 years. An avid hunter, Tom thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. He was described as a "real personality", and never met a stranger. He had been married to Shannon Green and later Bonnie McGregor and both survive. Survivors include his brothers Lynn Houseknecht and Gale of Mebane, NC, and Bruce Houseknecht and Dawn of Kernersville, NC; niece Karen Bovender; nephews Christopher, Brady, Bradley, and Andrew Houseknecht; five great-nieces and great-nephews; step-children Tina Johnson and Billy Green.
