Obituary of Charles Skinner

Biography Kernersville-Charles Edward Skinner, 84, went home to be with his Lord Monday November 11, 2013. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 1:00PM Thursday November 14, 2013 at Raeford Cemetery in Raeford, NC. A native of Summit County, Ohio, Charles was the son of the late Clarence and Ada Skinner. He was a veteran in the Army during the Korean War and retired from Pilot Freight Carriers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years who died October 10, 2013, Doris Virginia Barefoot Skinner. Survivors include his son Ronnie Skinner and Crystal of High Point; sister-in-laws Edna Hiatt of Yadkinville, Betty Barefoot, and Gloria Barefoot of Raeford; brother-in-laws Ernest Barefoot (Lannie), James Barefoot (Betty) and Wilbert Barefoot (Linda) all of Raeford; numerous extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends including a special mention of Grover Parks, Wayne Pettycord, and the late Henry Aldridge. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
