Obituary of Harold Haag

Biography Kernersville-Harold Edward Haag, Sr., 85, went home to be with the Lord November 8, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Monday November 11, 2013 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Dr. Norman Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Geneva, New York, Harold was the son of Myrtle Board Haag and Edward Henry Haag. He served his country during the Korean Conflict with the US Army Air Corps. He was a longtime member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He was long haul truck driver for McLean Trucking Company and received numerous awards for his driving service. He retired in 1986 following 35 years without any accidents. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by brother Wayne F. Haag. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years Mary R. Haag of the home; daughters Linda E. Haag of Winston-Salem, and Amy Welch and Jack of Kernersville; sons Harold "Buddy" Haag, Jr. and Bonita, and Rusty Ryals and Michelle all of Kernersville; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; sister Anna Henning of New York; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM Sunday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel.
