Obituary of Judy Cox

High Point-Judy Orr Cox, 67, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 31, 2013 as she was surrounded by her family. She fought a gallant fight with Pancreatic Cancer for seven and a half months. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be held 3:00PM Sunday November 3, 2013 at Tabernacle Baptist Church Pastor Casey Bradford officiating. She was from Lake City, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Thelma Frances Moore and John Bryant Orr. She was known as a very classy Lady, and loved to decorate to make her home a "Showplace". She loved travelling, especially to the coast, and sitting on the front porch sharing with her many friends. Family was most important to her, and cooking/entertaining/decorating was the highlight of the holidays for her. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, who never left her side, Jerry Cox of the home; son Jay Bryant Cox and Tammy of Taylorsville; daughter Joy Nicole Davis and Perry of High Point; grandchildren James Tyler Cox, Meagan Michelle Cox, Madison Jeri Davis, and Jonathan Stanton Davis. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church. Friends and family may sign, and view the guestbook at www.Pierce-JeffersonFuneralService.com In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3929 Johnson Street, High Point, NC, 27265. "The family wants to thank her church family at Tabernacle Baptist Church and her many friends in the Delmar Subdivision for all their love and support. Also, thanks to Dr. Sanders and the staff of the High Point Cancer Center." "She will be missed on the front porch." Service Information
