Obituary of Michael Flippin

Winston-Salem-Michael “Mike” Clayton Flippin, 60, went home to be with the Lord October 24, 2013. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 12:00PM Noon on Monday October 28, 2013 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Walkertown. A native of Forsyth County, Mike was the son of the late Frances Dean Patterson and Clayton Bonson Flippin. He was a 1971 Graduate of North Forsyth High School. He was so loving to his grandchildren who were his greatest joy. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years Sylvia Lynn Hegwood Flippin of the home; daughter Tonya Fink of the home; son Steve Flippin and Kelly of King; grandchildren Kirsten and Jeremy Fink, and Leah and Luke Flippin; sister Ann Rice and Steve of Pfafftown; brother Chris Flippin of Pfafftown; step-brother Jay Harmel and Bonita of Pfafftown; niece Lauren Rice and nephew Zachary Flippin. The family will visit with friends from 4-6PM Sunday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville.
