Obituary of Brenda Kissinger

Kernersville, NC/Lynchburg, VA-Brenda L. Kissinger, 72, died October 13, 2013 at Heritage Green Memory Care in Lynchburg, Virginia. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Friday October 18, 2013 at Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville with Pastor Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, Brenda was the daughter of the late Mabel Katherine Krause Shelton and Thornton Hale Shelton. She was married to the late Boyd Neil Kissinger. She was a graduate of Rustburg High School, and Central Virginia Community College with a degree in Bookkeeping. Brenda later worked for the City Assessor's Office. Survivors include her daughter Yvette I. Wilson (Bart), and Wendy H. Shull (Mike); grandsons Michael H. Norman, Adam E. Norman, and Ryan S. Peery all of Lynchburg, VA; step-sons John C. Kissinger (Jane) of Jacksonville, FL, Steve Kissinger of Roswell, GA, Richard Kissinger (Nancy) of Beckley, WV, and Roger Kissinger of Charleston, WV; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren; her special cousin that she called "Sis", Helen Suthard. The family will visit with friends in the church parlor prior to the service at the church on Friday.
