Obituary of Jimmy Jones

Kernersville-Jimmy Dudley Jones, 64, went home to be with his Lord September 28, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 6:30PM Thursday October 3, 2013 at Main Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Dr. Jeff Patterson, Rev. Rick Carter, and Rev. Mykal Jones officiating. A native of Guilford County, Jimmy was the son of the late Vela Ercell Alberty and Robert Earl Jones, Sr. He was a graduate of Greensboro Grimsley High School, and retired from the Construction Industry. He is survived by life partner Candace Warner of Kernersville; son Mykal Jones and Lissette of Tobaccoville; granddaughter Danijah Hayes; step-children Ryan Moody and Vanessa, and Clinton Moody and Chiyo; step-grandchildren Janelle Wilkins, Luke Gray, Kathleen Gray, Jared Gray, Zarek Moody, Jade Carol Moody, and Luna Moody; sister Deborah Durham; brother Robert Earl Jones, Jr.; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; and a special cousin Rick Johnson. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Thursday evening.
