Obituary of Donald Dillon

Biography Donald P. Dillon, Jr. died suddenly at home on August 6, 2013. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church, 2223 Sandy Ridge Road, High Point, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. Donald is survived by his wife Carolyn, son; Andy and wife Heidi, daughter; Jennifer, grandchildren; Rachel, Colton, Alexandria, Matt, and Sawyer and step-son Justin Price and wife Samantha. He is also survived by special cousins and a wonderful group of caring friends. He enjoyed a long career as a blacksmith and was a founding member of the North Carolina Blacksmith Association. He also was an accomplished and published writer of articles for Western Mule Magazine. He also enjoyed playing music especially the harmonica. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to Ignite the Spirit Fund of Greensboro, P.O. Box 39362, Greensboro, NC 27438. The fund supports families of fallen firefighters.
