Obituary of Bessie Bennett

Kernersville-Bessie Taylor Peeples Bennett, 96, went home to be with the Lord July 19, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Monday July 22, 2013 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Dr. Joe Myers officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of Forsyth County, Bessie was the daughter of the late Ari Ann Perdue and Robert Peeples. She also was preceded in death by her husband William Foy Bennett. She also was preceded in death by her sisters Annie White, Lillian West, Jacqueline Hamlin, Odessa Dillon, Essie West, and Lou Myers; brothers Jim, Robah, Lee, Raymond, Bluford, and Earl Peeples. She was retired from Burlington Mills and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son William A. Bennett; daughter-in-law Carol Bennett; two grandchildren Lisa Bowen and James, and Brad Bennett and Liza; great-grandchildren Ava, Eliza, Gavin, and Asher. The family will visit with friends from 10AM until time for the funeral on Monday at the funeral home.
