Obituary of Annie Williams

Kernersville-Annie Harrell Williams, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday July 19, 2013 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Cash and Rev. Phil Bauguess officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A native of Forsyth County, Annie was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Harrell. She was a long time member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church. Annie loved cooking, baking, enjoying family, and babying her flowers in the yard. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband Robert Paul Williams in 1977, and son Robert Keith "Pete" Williams in 2007. Survivors include her daughter Ellen Hodges and Larry of Walkertown; son Mark Williams and Claire of Matthews, NC; six grandchildren Dereck and Jarrett Williams of Colfax, Chase Hodges of High Point, Abigail Williams of Matthews, Craig Hodges and Natasha of Honolulu, HI, and Bob Hodges of High Point; four great grandchildren; two sisters Janet Gamble and Ed of Kernersville, and Shirley Eakes and Jerry of Nathalie, VA; two brothers Paul Harrell and Margaret, and G.K. Harrell and Mary all of Kernersville and several nieces and nephews. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
