Obituary of Daisy Rickey

Kernersville-Daisy Maude Blessing Rickey, 90, went home to be with her Lord June 29, 2013. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory with her Pastor Jerry Gibbons officiating. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Kernersville Friends Meeting at a date in the near future. A native of Wythe County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mary Punnuck Adams and William Robert Blessing. She was a longtime member of Kernersville Friends Meeting. She was retired from Kayser-Roth Hosiery. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband James Stanley Rickey, and her daughter Valerie Jean Rickey. Survivors include her daughter Christine Anthony; she had several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and Christian friends.
