Obituary of Dianna West

Winston-Salem-Dianna Jean Newman West, 58, went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2013. A Family time for Celebration of her life will be held from 4-6PM Friday afternoon June 28, 2013 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services in Kernersville. A time of visiting and inurnment will also be held 2-4 PM Saturday at St. Matthews Church in Mocksville. A native of Charleston, W. Virginia, “Nana” was the daughter of Helen and Douglas Cowan. She was the wife of the late Samuel Luther West, and also was preceded in death by her brother Francis Jackson and her step son Joseph West. Survivors include her parents Helen and Douglas Cowan of Winston-Salem; children Julie Jackson of Welcome, Eddie Campbell and Nicole of Michigan, Ralph Campbell and Misty of Lexington, Luke Campbell of Lexington, Sabrina Bean Campbell of Winston-Salem, and Tina West and Alex of Georgia; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters Shirley Wooten of Chattanooga, TN, Rita Younce of Michigan, Cindy Wilson of Lexington, Brenda Jackson of Michigan, Charmaine Tinker of Georgia, and Leigh-Etta Cowan of Pleasant Valley; brothers James Jackson of Winston-Salem, and Michael Jackson of Tabor City; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
