Obituary of Cora Fender Cobbler

Kernersville-Cora Lee Fender Cobbler, 83, went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2013. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Wednesday May 29, 2013 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with her son Rev. Gary Cobbler officiating. A native of Allegheny County, Cora was the daughter of the late Maggie Virginia Adams and Lundy George Fender. She was married to the late Ralph Junior Cobbler, Sr. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Frances; her siblings Betty Burcham, Evelyn Gilliam, Jesse Fender, Ophelia Vest, George Fender, Elmer Fender, Russell Fender, Lewis Fender, Clyde Edwards, and a baby not named at birth; and a son-in-law Bill Tate. Survivors include her daughters Kathy Tate, Donna Cobbler, Tammy Chaney and Robert, and Audrey Smith and Michael; sons Gary Cobbler and Brenda, and Ralph Cobbler, Jr. and Angie; grandchildren Shannon, Gary Jr., Joshua, Crystal, Travis, Errina, Sandra “Nikki”, James, Debbie, Megan, and Sean; great-grandchildren Isaiah, Kaydence, Mahala, Mackenzie, Cloey, Layla, Cliff, Syndee, and Cammie; sister Grace Fender; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services.
