Obituary of Mary Smith

Kernersville-Mary Dark Smith, 71, went home to be with the Lord May 3, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Tuesday May 7, 2013 at Main Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating. A native of Chatham County, Mary was the daughter of the late Eva Johnson Dark and Percy Dark. She will truly be missed by her family, as she devoted her life to making their lives better. Survivors include her loving husband Donald Smith of Kernersville; daughter Ginger Suess and Douglas of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren Drew Suess, and Darby Suess; sister Margaret Pettit and Wayne of Greensboro; brothers Charles Cheek and May and Percy “Sonny” Dark, Jr. and Jean all of Siler City; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends 6-8pm Monday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services.
