Kernersville – Carolyn Elliott Freeman, 84, died Wednesday May 1, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, officiated by Rev. Randy Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josiah Elliott and Katharine Muth, sisters, Katharine, Agnes, Frances, and Marguerite Elliott, and brother, Josiah Elliott, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James Edney Freeman of the home; sons James Edney Freeman, Jr. and Robin of Estill, South Carolina, John Elliott Freeman and Debbie of Leland, North Carolina, and Karl David Freeman and Mary of Kernersville; daughters Katharine Freeman Spears and Steve of California, Maryland, Elizabeth Edney Freeman Schwark and Stuart of Fairfax, Virginia, and Mary Freeman Denman and Todd of Greenville, South Carolina; grandchildren Lacey, Aisha, Nora, and Shawn Freeman, Lori Riddle and husband Christian, Michael Spears, Elizabeth and Allison Freeman, Joshua, Caroline, and Sarah Schwark, Anna Marie, Luke, Laura, Andrew, and Scott Denman, Adah, Seth, and Patrick Freeman; great-grandchildren Gavin and Elliot Riddle, and Kaylee Spears.
