Obituary of Mildred Newman

Kernersville-Mildred Fulton Newman, 92, went home to be with the Lord April 10, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 6:00PM Friday evening April 12, 2013 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Interment will be in the Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery. She was born November 25, 1920 in Stokes County to the late Ruby Lois Smith and William Fulton, Sr. A longtime member of Goodwill Baptist Church, Mildred was a most loving and caring person. “Biby” as she was affectionately known, will be missed most by her daughter, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Stockton, sister Lois Fulton Pegram, and her brother William Fulton, Jr. Survivors include her daughter Gloria Jones of Kernersville; grandchildren Sharon Stockton, Robin Webb, and Terry Jones; great-granddaughter Morgan Webb; great-grand-stepson Andrew Howland; nieces Debbie Warren, Vicki Swicegood, and Faye Phelps; nephew Ronald Pegram; and a host of extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home on Friday evening.
