Obituary of Donald Ray Wright

Donald Ray Wright, 64, passed away October 12, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Please join us for a celebration of life for Don Wright from 2:00PM to 4:00PM Monday, October 22, 2018 in the Virginia Dare Room in the Alumni House at UNCG.  Afterwards, you are welcome to join us at Old Town Draught House, 1205 Spring Garden St. Greensboro, to continue the celebration.

Donald was born in Asheville, NC June 2, 1954 to the late Ruth Ellen Metcalf and Robert Winfred Wright, Sr.

Survivors include his brothers, Robert W. Wright, Jr and Phillip Gary Wright and wife Diana; nieces, Teresa Deaver, and Tobie Wright and nephew, Christopher Wright.

Don enjoyed a long career in the Computer Sciences Department of the University of North Carolina Greensboro.  One of his passions in life was working on and restoring classic MG automobiles.  He also loved going to folk music festivals.
