Obituary of A. Scarborough

Mr. A. Moses Scarborough III, 51, of Greensboro died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Heartland Living and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2012, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Jason Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Thursday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. Moses was born January 28, 1961 in Greensboro, NC to Albert Moses Scarborough Jr. and Mary Atwell Scarborough. He was an ardent fan of all Greensboro High School sports. Greensboro Grimsley, of course, possessed his heart. He could be found there working the gates to the athletic field every game. Participation in the Jaycee activities was a great pleasure for him as well. Since March 2010 he has made his home at Heartland Living and Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro. Moses was a lifetime member of College Place United Methodist Church. Moses was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents. He is survived by his father, Albert Moses Scarborough Jr., of Greensboro; very special cousins who assisted in his care, Maurice D. Atwell III and wife Jeannie, of Ringgold, GA, Carl Clayborn Atwell, of Asheboro, Renee` Atwell Green and husband Mickey, of Randleman, Patricia Eckerd, of Greensboro; aunt Ruth S. Richardson and husband Thaxton, of Greensboro; and many wonderful friends.
