I would like to remember Catherine by sharing her wonderful sense of humor. I was assign to assist her but in many ways she assisted me instead. In the few short months that I got to know her, she taught me many things. About nature, birds, rabbits and squirrels. About the differnt types of plants and flowers and some gardening tips. Our times spent outside in her backyard became a haven for me. Although she thought I was doing it only for her, it was a time that I look forward to in my busy days. Catherine was a smart woman with teaching on her mind all the times. I loved hearing and reading about her and her son's many adventures and her sharing some of her favorite memories of them sharing, teaching and learning things together. I felt lost today not hurrying to her home to hear how her day was. She had a smile that would light up and a look that made you stop and think about what you were about to do or say. Catherine you will be greatly missed and your kindness and humor will remain with me and I will give you the credit as you so well deserve. Catherine raised a wonderful son, a son that any mother would be proud to say "That is my son" Her daughter in law was more like a daughter caring for her as only a daughter could do for a mother. Her granddaughters are a legacy that shows her strength and grace. I was blessed and honored that her family and herself allowed and trusted me with caring for her.
