Just learned about Mr.Culbertson's passing yesterday, June 26. We liked him so much when he was our pastor at Marshville Baptist. We have many fond memories of him riding his motorcycle, playing softball and telling his corny jokes. He truly brought the word of God to our church and we will always be grateful to him for being such an inspiration to us. Mrs. Frances, we pray for you and your family and we sure were sorry we didn't know any sooner. With sincere sympathy, Carroll and Julia Griffin

When we lose a loved one to death, Jesus opened the way for us to gain everlasting life. (Matt.20:28) grief & the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such times as these, we need to go to means of faith in the merit of Jesus' shed blood, that we can we gain ; everlasting life.(John 3:16) The Bible gives God's word for comfort. (2 Cor. 1: 3,4) The Bible helps us to understand how Jehovah & Jesus feel about death. Jesus who perfectly reflected his Father, knew the pain of losing someone in death. (John 14:9) How did Jesus feel about losing his friend? The account tells us that Jesus joined Lazarous relatives & friends as they grieved over this loss. Seeing them, Jesus was deeply moved. He " groaned in the spirit & became troubled." Then the account says "Jesus gave way to tears." (John 11: 33,35)

Bill meant so very much to Peggy and myself. He got me back in line and again active in church at Boulevard. He was the chairman of my ordination committee and preached the sermon at my ordination. He also taught with me at MCC. Over the years I have often thought of him and wondered where he was. I would not be a pastor today if it were not for him. Our prayers are with the family.
